Manual and automated testing for accessibility

It is our job as designers and developers to work towards a more accessible internet. Pursuing accessibility doesn't just assist marginalized communities, but it also results in a better internet for us all.

In my experience, most automated audits can only go so far without manual testing. In an article by SiteImprove, my sentiment is echoed by the following:

My process typically involves running some lighthouse tests and turning on my screen reader for a quick audit. It takes next to no time, and the results are opportunities to learn how to design for more audiences, and how to write better, more accessible code.
